In order to highlight the growing impact of artificial intelligence technologies on information services and librarianship, and to strategically contribute to this transformation in university libraries, the Anatolian University Libraries Consortium (ANKOS), in collaboration with Abdullah Gül University, organized the “Workshop on Artificial Intelligence in University Libraries: Policies, Guidelines, and Practices” on May 26, 2025.

The Library and Documentation Department staff of Kayseri University also participated in this significant event.

During the workshop, several key topics were addressed, including:

• Integration of artificial intelligence technologies into university libraries,
• Increasing awareness of AI among information professionals,
• Discussion of ethical guidelines and institutional policies,
• Sharing of best practice examples,
• Strengthening collaboration among academic libraries

Our university staff who attended the workshop will continue to contribute to the development of library services at the university with the knowledge and experience they have gained.
